Pełnomocnik Konsulatu Honorowego Republiki Łotewskiej we Wrocławiu Szymon Makuch wziął udział w sesji Sejmiku Województwa Opolskiego poświęconej współpracy międzynarodowej regionu, która odbyła się 29 listopada 2016 r.
Gośćmi sesji byli delegaci z Nadrenii-Palatynatu, a także wicekonsulowie Niemiec i Ukrainy oraz konsulowie honorowi Austrii i Chorwacji. W trakcie spotkania władze województwa omówili dotychczasowe działania we współpracy z różnymi zagranicznymi regionami m.in. z Węgier, Niemiec czy Chin. Pełnomocnik Konsulatu Łotwy zabrał głos w sprawie potencjalnej współpracy z Łotwą, wskazując na możliwości kooperacji z Łotewską Agencją Inwestycji i Rozwoju (Investment and Development Agency of Latvia).

The Plenipotentiary of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Latvia in Wrocław Szymon Makuch has participated in a session of the Opolskie Province Assembly on 29th November 2016 dedicated to international cooperation of the region.
Among the guests of the meeting were delegates from Rhineland-Palatinate, as well as vice-consuls of Germany and Ukraine and the honorary consuls of Austria and Croatia. During the meeting, the officials of the province discussed previous actions regarding cooperation with various foreign regions from countries such as Hungary, Germany, or China. The Plenipotentiary of the Consulate of Latvia has spoken about the potential cooperation with Latvia, indicating an opportunity to work with the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia.
